Who am I?
Hi, I’m Charles Jia.
I am an epidemiologist, biostatistician, and health researcher focused on using population-level health data to advance research in aging, dementia, cancer, and health services. I am passionate about turning complex data into evidence that informs better decisions and improves lives.

My Journey
My interest in health research began during my Health Sciences studies at the University of Ottawa, where I developed a passion for using evidence to improve healthcare.
I later completed an MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University, conducting population-based cancer research with administrative health data through ICES. Today, I continue to apply rigorous research methods and real-world data to address important challenges in healthcare.
